We've got over 300 employees, with multiple offices worldwide and we serve close to 500 global buy-side and sell-side institutions.

Currently, we're looking for a Database Administrator who can support... our Sybase and MongoDB team. This person must be comfortable participating in an on-call rotation and a 24x7 support and troubleshooting environment. You may need to work on weekends for maintenance procedures.

This role will be open to a remote or hybrid-remote work schedule.

What You Will Be Doing
• Manage the Sybase and MongoDB environment
• Hands-on execution of strategies for operations and development support, monitoring, deployments, security and performance analysis
• Improve database performance
• Develop and manage capacity, disaster recovery and day-to-day database operations
• Troubleshoot and solve database-related issues
• Assist in building the database architecture, design and modeling
• Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot live issues
• Work with leadership team on systems health
• Participate in on-call rotation and 24x7 supporting and troubleshooting database issues
• Be willing to work on weekends for maintenance procedures

What You Need for this Position
• Diploma of College or equivalent job experience
• 5+ years in a 24x7 mission critical work environment
• 5+ years of Database Administration on Sybase (ASE, Replication)
• 5+ years of MongoDB
• Experience in database support, monitoring, architecture, deployment, security, performance and troubleshooting
• Linux platform (RedHat, CentOS)
• Shell and Perl Scripting
• Experience designing and implementing complex DR and high-availability/failover solutions
• Knowledge of database security, enterprise backup and restore and replication strategies
• Manage large and complex data sets
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• PostgreSQL is a plus
