Job Details:
Salesforce IT Business Analyst position works directly with the business departments within the organization to build a pipeline of... features and enhancements for the Salesforce platform. A successful candidate must have extremely strong interview skills and the ability to drill down into complex processes to understand business needs in the following areas: Marketing, Sales Operations, Sales Automation, Customer Support Processes, and Case Management. The candidate must be able to then translate business needs into process flows and functional user stories that will be consumed by the technical organization.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities
• Develops trust relationships with business stakeholders
• Elicits requirements using appropriate techniques (personas, user stories and/or user story maps)
• Uses analytical tools during interviews and analysis of business needs (5 Whys, Cause and Effect Diagrams, etc.)
• Ability to develop artifacts from interviews and mapping sessions such as cross functional process maps, value stream maps and process maps
• Writes user stories and defines the acceptance criteria
• Ensures the product owner has a robust product backlog for refinement
• Collaborates with Product Owner/Manager and technical team to refine the product backlog
• Reviews stories and acceptance criteria with the scrum team (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Dev Team) to gain common understanding and agree on testability
• Collaborates with the scrum team on the definition of done to ensure successful development of user stories
• Collaborates with business stakeholders and scrum team to define, coordinate and execute user acceptance testing
• Evaluates native functionality from third party/cloud solutions and identifies opportunities to meet business needs
• Solves complex business problems through aligning Salesforce platform capabilities to make recommendations
• Identifies data sources and analyzes data relevant to processes impacted by the solutions being created
• Documents functional and non-functional specifications
• Assists the scrum team with functional testing as needed
• Ability to complete complex business process maps and presentations
• Collaborates with other Business Analysts to align identified user stories within the organizational roadmap
• Mentors junior business analysts

Job Specifications
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of business analyst experience with at least two years of IT Business Analyst experience
• Salesforce experience for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud strongly desired: Salesforce Certification desirable, for example Certified Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201), Certified Salesforce Developer (DEV 402), Certified Salesforce Advanced Administrator (ADM 301)
• Must have good planning, organizational and decision-making skills
• Ability to understand data structures and data modeling
• At least two years of working as part of a scrum team
• Passionate about customer experiences
• Possesses strong analytical abilities
• Takes a logical, analytical and innovative approach to problem-solving and pays close attention to detail
• Self-motivated and results oriented
• Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills
• Strong team player; able to work effectively within a team and more broadly with people from a variety of backgrounds and areas across the organization.
