Great, here’s who we’re looking for… VERB is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join our Integrated Platform Services (IPS) team.
As a Senior PHP Developer, your primary focus will be on developing secure, scaleable code for our middleware platform that integrates backend services and provides a single, unified front-facing API.
You will collaborate with a team of developers, while ensuring best-practices are demonstrated and maintained across our larger team of technology professionals.
What You Will Do Collaborate with third-party web service providers to create reusable integrations Identify and utilize software design patterns Build and track reusable code and libraries Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with stakeholders, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes Document and demonstrate solutions through flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, code comments and clear code Optimize applications for scalability and performance Debug complex issues spanning multiple systems and vendors Obtain and license software by gathering required information from vendors, recommending purchases, testing and approving products Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders ensuring clear, consistent communication Adhere to internal workflow and development standards Support project team members through highly technical tasks Requirements 5 years of professional experience in software development Experience using LAMP-stack technologies Experience using the Symfony PHP framework Experience with API development tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger/OpenAPI Familiar with modern PHP development practices and tools, including PHP7 and Composer Familiar with OWASP best practices Understanding of CI processes, including automated testing Familiar with Web infrastructure technologies such as SSL and DNS Proficient with version control systems, Git and Gitlab in particular Proficient with development debugging tools and practices Effective written and verbal communication Benefits Our benefits are anything but basic, with vacation time available on day one (not to mention an extra bonus week during the holidays), an annual travel credit (for non-work related travel), and free office snacks and drinks to keep you energized when you’re around.
