The Trustworthy Fundamentals Team in Bing is chartered with providing a safe and trustworthy online experience for end-users. As part of the Bing Relevance team, this team works on defining and scoping prioritized threat areas, develops query and document classifiers... works extensively with partner teams in Bing and other groups at Microsoft and ensures that our end-users have a safe and predictable experience.
This is an exciting area and hugely relevant in the current times – where users are exposed to multiple threats online like misinformation, hate speech and inappropriate content. The Trustworthy Fundamentals team is at the forefront of guarding the Bing Search Engine against these threats, providing this technology to other partners at Microsoft and protecting our customers and our brand.
You would join as a Program Manager in the Trustworthy Fundamentals Team. This role will require helping define strategic investments and priorities for the product area and the engineering teams, collaborating with multiple partners teams across the organization including policy and legal and developing and driving the product roadmap.

Responsibilities
We’re looking for someone with deep customer empathy, an ability to look at the big picture and create clarity, strong technical skills, having the ability to go deep, and capabilities to work with and manage partners across the organization.
Here are few job responsibilities: Work closely with Policy and Legal Teams to understand the product principles and make decisions within that framework Develop a solid understanding of the product space and become a subject matter expert in the area Demonstrate a passion for safeguarding our customers and online properties Deeply understand our customers and partners, and recognize their needs and protect the Bing and the Microsoft brands Translate business objectives into clear goals and deliverables for the team Define & drive objectives and key results (OKRs) and maintain a prioritized backlog of product requirements Plan and drive product reviews with PM and engineering leaders across the company Partner extensively within our organization and across groups to meet our customer needs with quality and agility Strong data analysis skills and an ability to move fast with data driven decision making and experimentation Have a good technical understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts and an understanding of high-level technical design You must be an experienced Program Manager with deep background in software engineering with preferably experience in the areas of Machine Learning, AI, Data Analytics, Internet Search or any other large scale distributed and scalable software systems Qualifications
A Program Manager at Microsoft is expected to have: The ability to understand the breadth of our product line as well as the technical ability to drill into details on owned areas. Prior experience defining a product vision and roadmap and managing incremental execution through successful launches. Proven expertise working with, presenting to and managing communications with customers. Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally across the company. Ability to thrive in the dynamic environment that comes with being part of an innovative startup from its early days. That means flexibility as well as dealing with ambiguity. 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical role. Master's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or similar practical experience. An understanding in machine learning, Big Data analytics, data management and/or cloud technologies is a plus.
